Meet Dr. Morgan, O.D.

Dr. Michael Morgan, O.D., is the owner and head doctor at Ocean View Optometry.

Dr. Morgan is a warm, caring individual with a strong desire to help others. You can tell by his demeanor with his patients how much he truly loves his work. Supporting patients in achieving clear, comfortable vision is the most rewarding part of his job.

While Dr. Morgan is passionate about all areas of eye care, he is particularly focused on myopia management and dry eye therapy.

Dr. Morgan graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience. He went on to pursue his Doctorate of Optometry at the Western University of Health Sciences, School of Optometry and graduated in 2014.

Dr. Morgan has volunteered much of his time providing eye care to disadvantaged children. He performed comprehensive pediatric eye exams through Monarch School Vision Screenings on children affected by homelessness in San Diego, and also spent 3 months in El Salvador providing eye exams to inner city school children and rural families who didn’t have access to eye care.

Among his many achievements, Dr. Morgan is a proud recipient of the 2018 San Diego County Optometric Society’s ‘Young Optometrist of the Year’ Award.
